I wanted to test a newly re-finished rod (Phillipson Pacemaker), and went fishing with it. It was nice but I felt a little short (5'6"). The blank is for lures through 3/8 oz, but I think it is also good for 3/4 oz lures such as 2nd Zara Spooks. I also changed the combination of guides to make the rod action a little more parabolic.
Now, please don't ask me about my result of fishing, I totally got skunked today.
Today's tackle: ABU Record 5000 (black), Phillipson Pacemaker PC-56 (refinished, black thread), Stren 14lb (Clear/blue fluorescent), Heddon Chugger Spook,Zara Spook, Lucky 13, Zara II, etc.
