I'm not so good at slim prop baits, and have not used them very often. I'd like to cast these lures (Heddon Dying Flutter, Smithwick Devil's Horse, Mann's Hard Worm, etc) as frequently as possible.
When I picked them up from my collection boxes, I replaced the hardware (hooks) of Heddon Dying Flutters. Originally the belly hook was fixed with a surface rig, but I changed the rig to a bell one using the front front hole and glued it. I expect this is better for sure hooking up.

Chugger Spook XRW, clear belly
As this page, I use many colors of Chugger Spooks very often, but If I should go out for fishing with only one color, I'd pick up a XRW. Most lures in XRW color are common, and this bait in the scan also looks one of the common ones, but I must say it is an unusual one. The eyes are spray-painted, not hand stamped, and the belly is clear. The mold seam runs lengthwise. It was very lucky for me to be able to get it in my collection.
